Notice of the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales to be held at the College of Law and via MS Teams at 5.15pm AEST on Tuesday, 21 November 2023.

You are eligible to vote as a current financial Individual Member, Life Member or the noted Official Delegate of a current Corporate Member.

Nominations are invited for the following Executive Committee positions:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Ordinary Committee Members (up to eight may be elected)

I encourage you to nominate yourself or another member for a position on the Executive Committee. We would like to have a good representation of our membership base including those who live outside the Sydney CBD as meetings are held both in-person and via Teams. A Nomination Form is listed below for this purpose.

All forms are available online and via PDF.

If you are unable to attend in person or via MS Teams I encourage you to vote using the below listed Proxy Form. This form must be submitted in writing and received by the Secretary no later than 3pm Friday, 17 November 2023. The Secretary can be contacted on secretary@womenlawyersnsw.org.au or via our Executive Officer on executive@womenlawyersnsw.org.au or 0466 157 087.

To further assist with administration, the Association would be grateful if you would submit your Nomination (together with biographical details and an election platform not exceeding 100 words) by 3pm Monday, 20 November 2023, and advise Jasmine Lai, Secretary via our RSVP form, if you will be attending the AGM.

In person attendees:

The deadline to RSVP for in person attendance was Monday 13 November 2023. If you RSVP’d we look forward to seeing you there. The virtual doors to AGM are closed at 5pm. The physical doors will be closed at 5.15pm sharp.

Online attendees must:

  • Log in opens 20 minutes (4.40pm) in advance for attendance to be recorded. No online attendees will be accepted into the meeting after 5.00pm, sharp.
  • Have their full name displayed on Zoom.
  • Have their cameras turned on and microphones muted.
  • Use the “hand-up” function and wait to be addressed by the Chair before speaking.

VOTING

All eligible members will be registered to vote and once proxy nominations have been verified you will be able to access the voting portal – voting is only available during the AGM.
