Ever wondered what legal career options are out there?  Want to know what it’s like in house or how to position your career to get on a board? 

Join us for a thought provoking discussion of the different career paths of our illustrious and diverse panel of guest speakers.  Our panel will give insight into different types of legal practice, share their experience in law and the path that lead them to their current roles.  

Our 2014 panel will include: 

  • Jennifer Flinn. Jennifer is the General Counsel of the University of Newcastle legal team and has had a diverse range of experience throughout her career.
  • Jann Gardner. With an accomplished career over 27 years as a lawyer in private practice, 9 as Managing Partner of Sparke Helmore, Jann discovered a new passion and is now building a portfolio of board roles.
  • Anthea Gilmore. From Barrister to Vice President & Legal Counsel Australasia of an international gaming company, Anthea is the quintessential commercial lawyer!
  • Dr Nola Ries.  A prolific researcher and academic, Nola’s career has spanned Canada, Scotland and Australia and includes over 60 articles, book chapters and major reports.
