Guest speaker:
Wajiha Ahmed
Born in Pakistan, Wajiha came to Australia with her family at age 5. Wajiha has been practising with Buttar, Caldwell & Co. since 2001. She is an experienced civil litigator. Dispute resolution is her speciality in all civil areas including personal injury, family law, estate disputes, immigration and commercial matters. As well as being an accredited mediator, social justice is an important part of policy for Wajiha; she is presently on a number of panels for Legal Aid NSW and she is also on the Family Law Settlement Service panel for the Law Society of NSW. Previously Wajiha served as a Commissioner with the NSW Community Relations Commission (now Multicultural NSW) from 2006 – 2012, among other committees and boards. Wajiha has taught both undergraduate and post graduate students at various Universities in Sydney.
