prof-triggsGuest Speaker: Prof Gillian Triggs, President, Australian Human Rights Commission

Please join us and distinguished guests for an evening of networking, meet the new Executive Committee, get first hand updates of an exciting line-up for 2017, and mark the official launch of our biennial NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards 2017!

Prof Triggs is an engaging speaker with an impressive career. She will share her experiences, and how ‘resilience’ has been a part of that through the years.

Prof Gillian Triggs was awarded the Sir Ron Wilson Human Rights Award by the Australian Council for International Development in recognition of her outstanding contribution to advancing human rights in October 2016. As noted by ACFID president Sam Mostyn, “She has given voice to the most marginalised and kept human rights at the centre of public and political debate.”
