While transactional attorneys work to bring parties together and avoid future litigation, litigation lawyers are essential for cases seeking to win in court: They analyse the claims their client(s) may have. They are skilled negotiators, and work to discover all evidence and file motions.

Classic dos and don’ts of Court and Tribunal etiquette, whether this be in-person, video link or via phone, from the people that have seen it all. Come and learn the accepted Court and Tribunal etiquette, practice and procedure. War stories will be told from both sides of the bench to help you avoid becoming the next war story!

Seminar 4: Things I wish I had known tips, tricks & insider knowledge (In person and live stream)

Ever wonder if you have missed the boat when colleagues are talking about their experiences and progression in law? Never fear! This session is aimed to discuss the things we all wish we had been told at Uni or when starting our first jobs as lawyers. We will discuss how to set yourself up for career progression, get an edge over your competition and be noticed by the people who will make decisions about your career. This session will provide practical tips and tricks from lawyers in practise and give you the chance to get answers to those burning questions you may not be able to ask within the workplace!

COST: $15 each seminar or $50 for all 4. Please note that the in person events hosted by DLA Piper will conclude by 7.30pm and light refreshments will be served. Please click here for the flyer
