Webinar 2: Things I wish I had known tips, tricks & insider knowledge

Speakers: Panel discussion with a mixed panel of practitioners who will divulge to the audience some of the things they wish they had known before entering into their various areas of law.

This session is aimed to discuss the things we all wish we had been told at Uni or when starting our first jobs as lawyers. We will discuss how to set yourself up for career progression, get an edge over your competition and be noticed by the people who will make decisions about your career. This session will provide practical tips and tricks from lawyers in practise and give you the chance to get answers to those burning questions you may not be able to ask within the workplace!

Webinar 3: Me Inc. – Building your brand & online marketing for the lawyer in the online world
Date: Thursday, 22 October 2020

Networking and marketing is instrumental in growing your practice. This session will focus on the importance of Business Development (‘BD’), how to make BD work for you, networking, tips and tricks on how to build and raise your profile, how to build a network and client base, as well as how to best present yourself.   

Webinar 4: Performing on paper and in court – advocacy, court & tribunal etiquette
Date: Thursday, 12 November 2020
Time: 1pm – 2pm, proudly hosted by HFW Australia
Speakers: Panel discussion with The Hon Justice Jayne Jagot of the Federal Court of Australia; Sue Chrysanthou SC, 153 Phillip Barristers; and Stephanie Lambert, Partner at HFW. 

Classic dos and don’ts of Court and Tribunal etiquette, whether this be in-person, video link or via phone, from the people that have seen it all. Come and learn the accepted Court and Tribunal etiquette, practice and procedure. War stories will be told from both sides of the bench to help you avoid becoming the next war story!
