Dear Members & Colleagues

Nominations for our NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards are now officially open.

The cocktail event held to mark the launch of the Awards during Law Week on 29 March was a great success. I thank our distinguished speakers and guests, members and colleagues for their support.

Please forward your nominations for the following 3 categories for the Awards:

• Practising Private/Corporate lawyer;
Practising Government/Community lawyer; and
Young lawyer under 5 years in practice.

The closing date for nominations is 30 June 2007. The winners of the Awards will be announced at a gala dinner event on 19 October 2007 at the Hilton Sydney, with Her Honour Acting Justice Jane Mathews of the Supreme Court of NSW as keynote speaker, and Suzie Miller as MC. Following the presentation dinner, the winners of the Awards will also be announced through our media networks and publications associated with the various organisations supporting the Awards.

I encourage you to nominate an outstanding woman lawyer and support the advancement and acknowledgement of the achievements of women in law. Please click here for further details and the Nomination form.

Yours faithfully,

Lee-May Saw
President
