Our Christmas Shopping Day Fundraiser last Friday was a success and the fabulous Christmas hamper raffle will be drawn at our Christmas Cocktails next Wednesday 12 December as detailed below. I invite you to join us for this festive occasion. I thank you for your support during the year, and wish you a very happy and safe holiday season. Please note that our office will be closed from Christmas Eve and will reopen on 14 January 2008.

Only two women silks beat gossip bar

JUST two women barristers have been elevated to senior counsel in Victoria after a gossip campaign at the Bar accused other female candidates of spending too much time on their families. Wednesday 23 January 2008, 12noon for 12.30pm lunch in the Parliament House Dining Room, Macquarie Street, Sydney
Guest speaker: Christine Hogan, Journalist, Author and Media Producer "What Australia Day Means to Me". During the luncheon, the NCW NSW Australia Day Awards will be presented to a number of tertiary students to assist them in gaining higher qualifications.
