We cordially invite you to our 30th anniversary of the Women Lawyers Achievement Awards.
We are delighted to announce our quest speaker for the evening, Justice Julie Ward, President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.
The evening will commence at 6:00pm with welcome drinks and live music, followed by dinner, formalities and concluding at around 10:30pm.

AWARD CATEGORIES INCLUDE
Open to all current members of the WLANSW. Nominees will have made an outstanding contribution to the legal profession, provided by leadership and demonstrated supporting and advancing women in the legal profession.
Nominees will be women lawyers with less than five years’ post qualification experience.
Nominees will be women barristers that hold a current practising certificate issued by the NSW Bar Association.
Nominees will be women lawyers working in a regional area.
The law firm should be able to demonstrate measures taken to advance women in the legal profession. Such measures may include tackling the gender pay gap, implementing targets for women to advance to senior roles, flexible working conditions, adoption and reporting on Equitable Briefing Policy, policies for addressing and eradicating sex discrimination, sexual harassment and bystander policies, observance of the Charter of Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession, and mentoring.
Firms interested in Nominating for this award must have offices located in NSW and employ lawyers who are, or are eligible to be members of the WLANSW.
An application for this award should be no longer than 2 pages.
The successful law firm will demonstrate measures taken that has led to women being advanced in the legal profession by action taken to remove the gender pay gap, targets for partnership and advancement in managerial and senior roles, sharing of care arrangement, adoption and reporting on Equitable Briefing Policy and framework/ policies for addressing and eradicating sex discrimination, sexual harassment and bystander policies which alleviates the burden on individuals making complaints and places a positive obligation on all employees to change the culture and encourage compliance; observance of the Charter of Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession, and mentoring.
Firms interested in Nominating for this award are not required to be current corporate members of WLANSW but must have offices located in NSW and employ staff who are, or are eligible to be members of the WLANSW.
A formal application outlining and capturing why the Law Firm should be selected for this award should be no longer than 5 pages including all relevant supporting material.
Nominees will be women working in a legal role in a government organisation.
A woman lawyer who has achieved excellence working in house through individual and team performance, leadership, and added value to their organisation and the legal profession.
Nominees will be women working in legal academia.
