This Committee will continue to advocate for the equality of all women across all sectors of the legal profession. In particular, focusing on increasing the representation of women in leadership roles within the profession, encouraging law firms to adopt targets for the representation of women, and encouraging adoption of the Equitable Briefing Policy.
The Committee aims to address a wide variety of issues facing diverse women lawyers, focusing on intersectionality issues. This will include publishing position statements and media releases on issues relevant to women in the profession that align with the objectives of the Association. This Committee aims to ensure the legal profession truly reflects the wider community it serves.
