5 months into my first pregnancy, I decided to go solo and start my own law firm. Despite many naysayers, I threw caution to the wind and set up a small home office inside our living room. I was the receptionist, the accountant, the cleaner, the marketing manager and the lawyer all rolled into one. In February next year, Hillside Legal will celebrate its 10th birthday – throughout that time, I have continued to advocate for the legal rights of women and have always done everything in my power to further the advancement of women in the legal profession.
