Kate leads the Environment and Energy legal team within the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. She has expertise across subject areas including environment, energy, planning, heritage and local government law as well as in governance. Kate is an Accredited Specialist in Government and Administrative Law and is a member of the Law Society of NSW’s Public Law Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee. Mother of two primary aged boys, she is a Director of St Vincent’s College, an independent day and boarding school for girls in years 7-12. She has participated in many mentoring and shadowing programs and is a participant in Diverse Women in Law’s inaugural Senior Lawyers Mentoring Program.
